I’ve purchased a couple books from Amazon for my kindle iPad app and accidentally deleted them.Can you re-download eBooks you’ve already purchased? If so, could someone explain how. Thanks.

Sure can.
Go to www.kindle.com and log in to your account. Then go under Manage your Kindle. From there, just find the list of books you’ve downloaded, and use the drop down menu at right to send them to a device again.
