i am getting an ipad soon and im getting a data plan with it. i want to know if 1 GB is ok or if i should get more because i dont want to pay for more than i need to. im using wifi a lot.i go on youtube,facebook, download apps,songs, movies, and books. i surf the web a lot too. ill probably be on it 3-4 hours a day. please help.thx :)
ok when i said 1 GB i meant for wifi from verizon lol
ok and also if not would 5gb be ok? i only am getting songs movies and books occasionally. i get apps alot but they are mostly free ones. thx

The average full length movie runs between 3 and 4 Gb.
I suggest you use a HOME computer with a LARGE drive instead for downloading movies.

    No, 1GB is not going to be enough. Youtube, video, music and aps are all large in sizes.

    Well, do a trial with smaller, you can always upgrade.

    Well, it is hard to tell exactly, but do a math. What ever you are download shows its size. Just add them up.

    1GB = 1024MB
    1MB = 1024KB
    1KB = 1024Bytes

    wow some people here are not very smart… 1gb data plan is 1gb for internet, downloads etc, per month. it should be fine if you do lite browsing like checking email, and light surfing. if you are gonna stream like netflix all the time on 3g (you can do it on wifi all you want without affecting the cost of your data plan) then you will go way over. it depends what kind of internet surfing you will be doing
