What is the best electronic reader?

Question by Deanna P: What is the best electronic reader?
my mom wants one but apparently you can get ones that will let you download “library books” so they download for 3 weeks and then they get deleted. Does this work with all readers or just something like an ipad. Any suggestions would be lovely.

Actually iPad is way better than Kindle or anything. My mom has one that used to be my brothers.

iPad isn’t a dedicated reader and she’s probably referring to an e-ink device, not an LCD. The highest quality e-ink readers are the Sonys and they do read borrowed library books. Kindle does not. Nook does but it still uses last year’s screen technology which doesn’t begin to compare with the new Sony Pearl e-ink plus its brand new touch screen technology. Sonys are on sale until November 27 at SonyStyle.com, Borders and B & H Photo.
